Staircase to Nowhere 2020
Fine Art Photo Rag Hahnemühle 308g (Matte - Epson Printer) - Or similar
“Staircase to Nowhere” captures the suspended feeling of a world brought to a halt, a moment when movement itself became an illusion. Taken during the lockdown period of the pandemic, this photograph of a staircase leading nowhere is both a document of a specific time and a metaphor for the questions that haunted us all: Where do we go from here? In the empty, unfulfilled promise of these steps, I sought to convey the uncertain, disconnected path many of us felt trapped on. Each step suggests movement yet offers no destination—just as our daily lives, once full of direction and rhythm, were suddenly stalled and silenced. The staircase, once a symbol of progress, becomes instead a haunting reminder of unmade plans and paths abandoned.
